So I was challenged by @A_ChristineD and @DaemonsWriter to do this writing challenge on Twitter and I didn’t have another place to put it so here it is.
But it is sort of related to Tarot because Tarot does play a part in my book.
Anyway, the rule is that you go to the 7th page of your manuscript, count down 7 lines and post the next 7 lines. Then you tag 7 writer friends to do the same. And if they don’t want to, no biggie.
So without further ado, here are the corresponding lines from Where There is No Night: the Last Moments before Dusk by Alanna L.P. (hey! that’s me!) The character speaking is supposed to be British and I’m still hashing out his accent so don’t judge!
“I used an enchantment to change the way I looked, crawled out my window, walked among the Average Guy looking like a regular Joe Bloggs and went to see Arella in concert. And as I stood there watching her, I couldn’t help but fall for her.
I saw the light before I saw her. It was more like an explosion, really. I couldn’t see anything for a few seconds. Then I heard someone shout, ‘Look above you!’
I was pretty much blinded and turned my head upward more in confusion than anything else. It must have been a miracle, or whatever, because I was actually able to see her perched in the rafters even though my vision was completely impaired.”
Now I challenge:
