Tarot Forecast 12/20/15 – 12/26/15

MT FB

Last week’s card was the Hermit. I took a week off from the forecast to look within and it was just what I needed. Now this week I’m back with a fresh, new perspective. So let’s get to the forecast. The card of the week is The Queen of Cups, which is fitting because the Solstice occurs on Tuesday, December 21 at 8:49 PST. If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, it will be the Winter Solstice for you; the shortest day of the year. If you’re in the Sothern Hemisphere, it will be the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Both holidays celebrate the roles the Goddess plays. The Queen of Cups has always represented the Goddess to me: she holds the cup, the representation of the womb. She is the intuitive, psychic, loving, mysterious side of the Feminine Divine, the phases of the Moon and the journey of womanhood. This week, if you identify as female, honor the feminine side of yourself. Whatever stage of life you are in, celebrate what it means to be a woman. If you identify as a man, honor the feminine side of yourself and the women in your life.

Ace of Swords0003Sunday 12/20/15 Ace of Swords
Numerology: 4
Moon Void of Course 2:01 PM PST
Moon Enters Taurus 4:13 PM PST
The card of the day is the Ace of Swords. On the eve of the Winter Solstice, the Ace of Swords reminds us to recognize the things that we want to cut out of our lives in the New Year. It is a powerful time to set your intentions for 2016. The Moon is void of course until late in the afternoon which makes it a perfect time for reviewing your past year. It’s also a good time to think about what you want to nurture or begin in the New Year. The Moon is in Taurus so your thoughts may focus on the material side of your wants and needs. So if you’re looking at getting your finances on track in the upcoming year, use tonight to reflect on that area of your life. Moon trine Sun at 2:01 PM PST. At 7:07 PM PST, Mercury square Uranus will leave you craving excitement. You may feel frustrated if your life isn’t as exciting as you’d like it to be. But take advantage of the creative burst that comes with this transit because it will guide you to see the big picture. The number of the day is 4, a number that is especially good for taking care of your health and matters in the home. Since the shortest day of the year is approaching, it may be good to get some extra rest and use this time of darkness to give your body the recharge it needs in this busy holiday season.
Mantra: I take the sword, cut the chords and let go.

5 of Cups0003Monday 12/21/15 3 5 of Cups
Numerology: 5
Moon in Taurus
Winter Solstice 8:49 PM PST
Yule
The card of the day is the 5 of Cups. You may feel a little blue if you’ve been looking back on the past year, especially if you feel frustrated with what it’s brought you. It’s the Solstice, the darkest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, so the lack of light may affect those who experience SAD as well. But the message of this card is one of hope and it goes with the Solstice. Things may seem dark now, but remember to be thankful for what you have. At 4:31 AM PST, Moon sextile Neptune will increase your sensitivity and intuition. Make sure you surround yourself with positive people to prevent yourself from absorbing negative thoughts and feelings that are not your own. Moon trine Pluto at 4:52 PM PST may cause your sex drive to skyrocket. Make sure to separate the ideas of love and lust because when the two get tangled, it’s a recipe for obsession. Sun enters Capricorn at 8:49 PM PST, marking the Solstice. It’s a time to see the Light in the Darkness, to take the lessons you’ve learned and use them to forgive yourself and forgive others. Spend the evening with people you care about and celebrate. There is so much to be thankful for.
Mantra: Happiness starts with gratitude.

Ace of PentaclesTuesday 12/22/15 Ace of Pentacles
Numerology: 6
Moon Void of Course 6:26 AM PST
Moon Enters Gemini 6:31 PM PST
Traditionally, the Ace of Pentacles depicts a hand floating in the sky holding a big, shining pentacle. It almost looks like the Sun. It’s the Solstice and the Sun’s return has begun. It’s a time that symbolizes new beginnings, especially in abundance, also appropriate for this time of year. Moon opposition Venus at 2:36 AM PST will bring you closer to loved ones today. You may find yourself showered with abundance just beware of over indulgence. Moon trine Jupiter at 6:24 AM PST will keep things positive with jolly, happy, enthusiastic energy. The Moon enters the playful sign of Gemini at 6:31 PM PST, bringing a lighthearted feeling to your evening as long as you make a commitment to stay a balanced. The number of the day is 6, a number of sharing love and friendship.

Page of SwordsWednesday 12/23/15 Page of Swords
Numerology: 7
Moon in Gemini
The card of the day is the Page of Swords. If the Page’s energy does not represent you, it will represent someone that you come into contact with today. The Moon is in Gemini and the Page is ruled by Gemini so it’s best to flow with the chatty, playful and sometimes nervous but energetic energy. The Page is someone who talks a mile a minute and who’s mind bounces from idea to idea. Remember to stay grounded when you feel nervous and disconnected and find a link that will keep you in the present. If you meet the Page today, help him or her stay focused and grounded if you have to interact with this person for long periods of time. Moon square Neptune at 6:55 AM PST may cause dreams to linger and you may feel overly sensitive at this time. Moon opposition Saturn will bring some troubles to relationships at 11:45 AM PST. The Gemini energy may bring mood swings that make it difficult to connect with people and this could lead to loneliness and isolation. Resist the urge to get caught in negative thinking because this will only cause you to adapt a pessimistic attitude that will leave you feeling numb. If you have plans late tonight, Moon sextile Uranus at 10:27 PM PST will find you in good company and you’ll see your frustration from earlier in the day melt away. The number of the day is 7, a number that can bring depression but when turned around, can inspire wonderful, intellectual thoughts.
Mantra: Just breathe.

HermitThursday 12/24/15 The Hermit
Numerology: 8
Moon Void of Course 12:04 PM PST
Moon Enters Cancer 9:26 PM PST
The card of the day is The Hermit. He looks a little like Santa Claus in the traditional Rider-Waite deck and he acts like him too. He spends a lot of time alone but when he reaches out to others, he has great wisdom to share. Due to Venus sextile Jupiter at 2:03 AM PST and the fact it’s the holiday season, this card could very well represent an elder in your family that has something to teach you. Venus sextile Jupiter is a great time to be with family and friends, continuing the cycle of giving to bring abundance into everyone’s lives. Moon square Jupiter at 9:16 AM PST will bring generosity and optimism to the day. At 12:04 PM PST, Moon trine Mars will insight leadership and confidence to those who are given the task of being in command. The number of the day is 8, a number that can point to leadership but when taken to extreme, can become selfish and power hungry.
Mantra: We are made wise not by the recollection of our past but by the responsibility of our future. – George Benard Shaw

Queen of CupsFriday 12/25/15 Queen of Cups
Numerology:9
Full Moon 3:11 AM PST
Moon in Cancer
Uranus Direct 7:53 PM PST
The card for the day is the same as the card of the week, the Queen of Cups. It’s also a Full Moon in Cancer so the intuitive, feminine energy of the mysteries of the Universe are embracing us. Moon opposition Sun at 3:11 AM PST will bring high energy and friendly debate. Moon trine Neptune at 10:18 AM will bring a separation from reality, interesting considering that many people will be opening gifts and spending time with their loved ones around this time. Uranus goes direct at 7:53 PM PST which is an earth shattering shift. Moon opposition Pluto at 11:21 PM PST will bring confusion and emotionally charged interactions. If things get hectic, confusing or intense, turn to the energy of the Queen of Cups and pour love into every corner of your life and out into the Universe. The number of the day is 9, a number of endings and beginnings.
Mantra: I choose love.

4 of Swords0003Saturday 12/26/15 4 of Swords
Numerology: 1(0)
Moon in Cancer
Moon Void of Course 7:36 PM PST
The Four of Swords is a card of rest. New Year’s is on the way and the festivities of the past few days may have left you feeling tired and drained. Make sure to listen to your body and get the rest you need to ring in the New Year. Moon square Uranus at 2:22 AM PST will leave you feeling adventurous if you’re up in the early morning hours. Moon sextile Jupiter at 1:51 PM PST will leave you feeling happy and upbeat. But by late afternoon, Moon opposition Mercury at 4:21 PM PST may leave you feeling at odds with your own logic. It would be best to spend some time alone during this time because you may find the company of people off putting if they don’t agree with you. The irritability will continue into the evening with Moon square Mars at 6:57 PM PST. You could feel defensive and even reckless so if you can, stay home and do something low key and relaxing. Moon trine Venus will chase those yucky feelings away and love and peace will return, especially if you’re hanging out around the house. All in all, a good day to find happiness in taking it easy at home. The number of the day is 1(0) a number of new beginnings.
Mantra: there’s nothing wrong with taking it easy.
