When I made healing a part of my journey in early 2014, I had no idea that I would start on a relentless pursuit to live  the life I’ve always dreamed of. I was talking to a friend of mine about all the awesome things in my life I’m excited about, like the Where There Is No Night podcast that I’m planning to release in 2015.  Everything for this release is falling together so perfectly, it’s like a dream come true.  The only thing holding me back from pulling this together is funding, and I’m searching for grants to use to do this exactly the way I envision it.  I believe the money will come to me when it’s time. I constantly remind the universe of my intention and then I put the energy into making it happen. I’m a firm believer in creating my own reality and that’s exactly what I’m doing now. And to get funding, it all starts with a perfect pitch.

Thanks to Brenda Drake’s Pitch Wars, I learned how to successfully pitch an idea. My pitch surpassed a lot of my realistic expectations as I got manuscript requests from the mentors in the contest and even from an agent. But Pitch Wars also taught me that my story is too edgy for the market. However, my Tarot reading was right about Pitch Wars after all.  I didn’t land a mentor in the contest, but I connected with an editor, Kate Foster, who took me on as a client and  told me exactly what I needed to do to create a page turner.

So a big shout out to Kate Foster and Brigit Ellesmont of Biddy Tarot (both ironically residing in Australia,  for pushing me to take this project  run with it.

So without further ado, here is a short list of reasons why I created this project and why you should tune into the pilot when it debuts in 2015.

1) Save the Artists! I want to create jobs for artists because no matter what the internet tells you, artists are our dreamers of tomorrow. Art speaks the truth about the past, present and future when everyone is too afraid to say what they mean. The media  (publishing and music industries) are afraid of the power of our imaginations and try to keep us dreaming small. The artistic Renaissance we’re living in  struck back with the internet but many artists don’t have the time to put their whole heart and soul into their messages because they’re too worried about where the next meal will come from. I hope to start a movement that puts food on artists tables by pioneering this method of release.

2) Fuck You, Amazon. This project is a big “fuck you” to the establishment of publishing for raping artists’ imaginations. And a double “fuck you” to Amazon for devaluing the profession of writing with your Kindle scam. Writers deserve to earn what the  thousands of words they lovingly crafted are worth. It takes time, commitment and yes, even money to write.

3) To Infinity and Beyond. This project is a celebration of cutting edge music, visionary art, the rise of neo paganism over the past 100 years, the Goddess, the mystery of the Tarot and the forgotten power of the angels.  It’s heretical because I take legends and make them real. I take controversial theories and symbolism and use them to construct a story that captures the imagination and leaves the reader wanting more.

But I can’t do this alone which is where you come in.
