It’s the 39th week of the year so in numerology, that breaks down to 3. Three is a number of things coming together even though the aspects may make it feel like everything is falling apart. This week is going to be challenging. You need to clear the earth before you build a new foundation and what is finished or disposed of now will only make the foundation you are building stronger. You may already have noticed that sine Mercury entered its shadow period, things have been shaken up a bit but this is a time of garbled communication and a time to be very careful with words. This week doesn’t have many aspects to start off with because the ones that occur are all giving you a very loud message: take time to prepare yourself mentally, physically and spiritually for disruptions. On a personal level, I have a feeling this is going to be a big Mercury Retrograde for me so I’m already putting a plan together so I know what to do if my life gets flipped upside down like it did last time. This is also amplified when Saturn enters Sagittarius only a few hours after Mercury goes retrograde, leaving behind Pluto ruled Scorpio. In Qabalah theory, this aspect reflects lessons on the 12th path of the Tree of Life, represented by the Magician Tarot card so if you have an interest in Qabalah, I suggest you also have a look at that.

The good thing about Mercury Retrograde is that it doesn’t always hit as hard for others as it does for some (a lot of this has to do with the planets in your personal natal chart). For those who don’t feel like serious shit is about to hit the fan, it’s simply a time to tie up loose ends and finish projects. Whatever Mercury retrograde brings, you’ll be ready to move in a different direction after Mercury goes direct on October 9.

So if you can, hold off on signing contracts or making big decisions that will have a long term effect because opinions can be fickle and fleeting. Look to the Queen of Pentacles (also ruled by Virgo) and try to embody her characteristics: grounded, intellectual and balanced in both your home and your work life. If you pay attention to the details, listen to others closely and take time to make decisions, you’ll come out on top no matter how bad things get.

The Hermit card is ruled by Virgo so amplified scrutiny of other may leave you wanting to spend today at home by yourself. The Moon trine Saturn in the evening will continue that feeling. Take some time to sit down and meditate on what you really want out of life and what is holding you back. With Mercury Retrograde coming, it’s good to take a hard look at what areas of your life seem to already be affected since the shadow period is a good indication of what this retrograde will bring. When the Moon enters Libra at 7:41 PM PST, you’ll have the balanced outlook to see reality objectively and prepare for disruptions. Chances are, if something seems like it needs attention, as retrograde hits, you’ll know exactly what that is. Be thankful for the boredom today. You’ll miss it when Mercury retrograde comes. Monday 9//14/15 The Tower

Moon in Libra
Without a firm foundation, the Tower tumbles. As we approach Mercury Retrograde, the foundation of our life shakes a little harder. Chances are, if something major is about to end, it will happen, it will happen in the next couple of days. The effects of the Tower are often delayed so when I pull the card, I generally think of it as the rumble at the beginning of the earthquake. Moon square Pluto is our warning here that something is about to go down. We may feel inclined to do something random and spontaneous. There could be unpleasant confrontations with others. The lesson here is to be careful with your words but to be open in honest. The more transparent you are, the less others will have to hold against you. If there is someone you feel conflict building with, as the old saying goes, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. The Moon is in Libra so you may find yourself being judged for anything you say or do. The way to keep it together is to tap into the power of the number for four: reinforce your foundation to lessen the effects of any shake ups Mercury retrograde might bring.

It is never, ever a good sign when I’ve drawn the Tower and the Devil in the same reading. However, the way these two play out is always different and doesn’t really follow any particular patter other than “Watch your back”. Moon conjunct Mercury sets the stage for today warning you that whatever is in the atmosphere around you will most likely effect everyone else as well. We do have a favorable aspect working for us, however: Moon sextile Venus. This will bring good energy flowing between you and your loved ones. It’s good to know who your support system is when you need it. With Venus sextile Moon at 4:07 AM PST and the Devil card, it also looks like there’s potential for really good sex out there as well. Whatever you do to release tension, it would be a good idea to do some stress management early in the morning because by 11:27 AM PST, tensions are high and disagreements loom with Moon opposite Uranus. At 9:22 PM PST, Moon sextile Mars will turn this negative attitude into a positive as you feel a surge of courage and self-assurance. If called upon to take a leadership position, you should tap the energy of this aspect to aide you in your decisions. The number of the day is 5, a number of overcoming obstacles.

The Queen of Swords appears today to remind us that we must cut away what’s clouding the truth. We may be challenged, especially by people who want to see us fail. We must go into every situation overly prepared because one misstep could disrupt everything in this cosmically delicate time. The Moon in Scorpio echoes this idea that people may be quick to sting to it’s best to go into every situation as a keen listener and observe. The danger, however, is that Jupiter conjunct Neptune at 11:56 PM may leave you feeling uncertain of what’s real and what’s all in your head so don’t act out of frustartion. The confusion is further amplified because Mercury retrograde begins tomorrow. You may go to bed wishing for a way to escape but not sure yet how to get there. The card of the day is the 2 of Pentacles. The woman balances two coins in her hands. The sea is violent and choppy but the sun is shining. The woman is in control despite how topsy-turvy things seem. Moon trine Neptune at 12:07 AM PST brings fantasies to your dreams and Moon sextile Jupiter assures nightmares will be few with the harmony in the air. Right before Mercury goes retrograde, Moon sextile Pluto will bring the potential for emotional outbursts that require you to confront conflict. Confusion may set in as Mercury goes retrograde shortly after this aspect. At 6:35 PM PST, Moon square Venus at 6:35 PM will leave people feeling affectionate so if you need comforting, the people you turn to will be receptive and vice versa.
