It’s the 2nd week of the year and the card of the week is the 4 of Wands. Last week was a difficult week for many with Mercury and Jupiter stationing retrograde, Mars entering Scorpio. On top of that, there were some other transits that came into play that made it feel like everything was just too much. I usually don’t get personal with my posts, but as a Capricorn with Scorpio rising, the dance of the stars did not shine favorably on me and last week. I felt loss and rejection in almost every way possible – from potentially losing a close friendship that means a lot to me to getting another rejection for my novel to getting denied for Medicaid.

But if you got your ass kicked, you can stay down on the ground. Or you can get yourself up again and keep going forward. We have to remember that all’s well that ends well. So if you experienced loss last week, you may be feeling lonely and hopeless. But it’s not a time to grieve, it’s a time to celebrate. What you lost was dead weight keeping you from living the life you want to live. You can have anything you want and do anything you set your mind to as long as you have the wisdom to focus on what is working for you instead of what’s not. New Moon was on Saturday, January 16, so it’s time to set new goals and start working towards manifesting them. However, make sure you focus on the short term because Mercury Retrograde is notorious for sabotaging new beginnings.
